Bennie and Jet were brought in as strays to the Devore Animal Shelter in San Bernardino County on Sept. 28, 2026, along with numerous siblings. Some were adopted. These brothers are approximately 3-4 months old (est. dob 6/28/26) and appear shepherd/mix, though they only weigh @ 15lbs as of mid-Oct. After 10 days in the shelter, all remaining siblings became ill with upper respiratory infections. And after a full course of antibiotic treatment, all of the puppies were put on urgent notice.
Bennie and Jet are now being fostered with us at Lily and Kin and are about to begin whatever medical care is needed. Both boys are playful and happy and eating. They are both curious and wary of their new surroundings, though they are enjoying their foster family of kids, dogs and love. We will learn more about their individual personalities as we go.
